Garth Brooks – Again!

2–3 minutes

Not too long ago I was able to experience four different things in one fell swoop. I shared that previously (click here to read about it). Well, I had an opportunity to see Garth Brooks in concert again! This is the first time I have seen an artist twice in one tour. The energy felt in Nashville was reciprocated the second time in Charlotte, NC.

I suppose this was also a new thing because this particular city was originally booked as a Mother’s Day gift for Mother’s Day 2020. We all know how that turned out. Two reschedulings (and ultimately a cancelation) later, we had tickets once more. Round two was awesome because my buddy and his wife joined us, we had floor seats (again), and my mom got to go!

Before the show we headed to a restaurant featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, Pinky’s Westside Grill. Maybe I will have to post about that first-time experience sometime. Once the meal was through, we spent a million years in traffic trying to park in our pre-paid parking garage. A nice walk toward Bank of America Stadium (home of the Panthers) concluded, we scanned our tickets, headed to the floor, and awaited the start of the show.

Right away this show was different because we were being recorded for an upcoming project and the opening act performed. A guy by the name of Mitch Rossell played some original work and even gave out a couple koozies. Just like before, Alexa from Amazon came on and started the show. The set list was exactly the same as it was in Nashville with the exception of some tunes being recorded for the upcoming project. Garth mentioned the title of the project but I have no clue what it was. Maybe check and see if anyone mentioned it online.

The cool part about the Garth Brooks Stadium Tour is the requests taken at the end. Garth leaves the stage with his band and the audience stands in wonder as Garth returns alone with a guitar. Audience members have large signs with song requests, inspiring messages, and funny messages which Garth reads. We had some excellent acoustic moments which transformed into the final, finale by the band performing Standing Outside the Fire. These are moments we will always remember.

Overall, this was an excellent show. Mom loved it, friends loved it, I loved it. We had a great time! Would I ever go see an artist twice in one tour? To that I would ask, is it Garth Brooks? If it is, I would absolutely see his shows more than once in a single tour. Get out there and see your favorite artist before it’s too late. It’ll be worth it.

Signing off from Charlotte, NC.
