My first move as a new resident of Tennessee was to head to Nashville and take part in the country music scene. What better scene to start with than a Garth Brooks concert in an NFL stadium? I had never attended a stadium concert before so this was an exhilarating experience.
I guess this concert counted as knocking out four things in one (seeing Garth Brooks, watching a stadium concert, attending a concert solo, and watching a concert with floor seats). Cool! The weather couldn’t have been better for a mid-April evening. Arriving in a parking garage across the river, I walked into downtown Nashville and headed across the bridge toward Nissan Stadium. There were two tickets in my pocket with only one being scanned.
The logical next step after getting into the stadium was to take a bunch of pictures of what it looked like prior to showtime. While the weather was great, there was threat of an evening storm headed our way near the scheduled conclusion. Garth opted to forgo an opening act and started the show around the scheduled showtime. As I sat on floor section A, Row 10, Seat 10 (and 11), Alexa from Amazon beeped awake and started “playing” the Garth Brooks song, “All Day Long”. We were off to the races as Garth put on a performance for the ages.

Because the Nashville show was a rescheduled one, Garth Brooks worked with his team to open an additional night at the stadium. All the tickets were the same price and the evening I went was a lower bowl event. Garth only sold tickets in the lower bowl so everyone would have a great seat. Thanks, Garth!
All in all, this was an experience unlike any other. Going to a concert by myself was a little weird, but being able to enjoy live music from a legend was worth it. Plus, being in a floor section was awesome. Garth was right there! Will I ever go to a concert by myself again? That is to be determined. Concerts are fun with friends and family, but some artists are worth seeing no matter what. Garth Brooks is one of those artists. If I can ever afford floor tickets again, I’m definitely down for purchasing those.
Signing off from Nashville, TN.
